Challenges and Prospects to Time Series Burst Overlap Interferometry (BOI): Some Insights From a New BOI Algorithm Test Over the Chaman Fault

How to obtain millimeter-scale along-track deformations using phase measurements is still a pending question for InSAR community. Although Burst Overlap Interferometry (BOI) technique makes this seem tractable, most applications of BOI focus on extracting centimeter-scale co-seismic cases. To further improve measurement accuracy, here we propose new time series algorithm towards maximizing the performance and obtaining as high accuracy possible. This has three major steps. The first step enhance signal-to-noise ratio our newly proposed estimator. In second step, apply strain model-based method suppress noise rescue more data points. third misregistration correction procedure which considers plate motion applied mitigate bias. We tested over Chaman fault. derived demonstrate effectiveness method, experimental results show that decorrelation ionospheric disturbance are two great challenges techniques.
